 I am offering mini cone mandrels. These are more a product
of precision machining than of hand hammering. They are made from 1045 steel and are heat treated for maximum hardness for
this type of medium carbon steel. The are 5.5 inches in total length - 3 inches make up the cone and 2.5 the shank. The base
of the cone is 1.5 inches wide and tapers to 3/16 inch. The shanks are 3/4 inch. They can be used in an anvil hardy, a vise
or even a wooden stump with a suitable hole.
